Membership matters

From Elizabeth Varley, Vice President EDWI
We are very sorry but if you have not paid your membership fee already, you will unfortunately not able to come to the next event.

We are working on ways to be able to increase capacity for future events andwill keep you updated with developments, but due to health and safety regulations at our current venue, if you come along at present and are not already a member, you will be turned away.

We're really sorry to have to disappoint those who aren't members already, but we *are* working on ways to allow for greater membership numbers.

Hi Elizabeth

I read about the EDWI in the South Magazine and think its a great idea. Im 29 and have just moved from ED to Honor Oak and would love something like this in my new local area to get to know people in the community. Perhaps as a way of dealing with increasing numbers people could set up a "sister" group over this end to cater for HOP and forest Hill? I would love to help. Its just a thought...

Best of luck with things anyway. x

Hi, I live in Streatham Hill and also interested in either joining East Dulwich WI or setting up one inbetween the Clapham branch and Dulwich group. Can you advise on how I can get involved?
Thanks.

Dear Elizabeth,

I read that your membership is full but can you please add me to the list ?Is there a restriction on numbers due to capacity of the venues you use? Are there any other W1 Groups in Dulwich or thereabouts and if please avise how you set-up your Group.

Thanks & regards,

Lyn

Dear Elizabeth

I understand you are currently trying to increase your membership numbers which is great news as I would very much love to become involved.

Would you be kind enough to add me to the waiting list?

Best wishes

Anna

Hi Anna and Lyn,

To contact EDWI and get your name on the waiting list, please use the Google groups link in the right hand menu. There may be some spaces coming up if people don't renew their membership in the new year.

There aren't any other local groups I'm afraid. But if people are interested in setting up a second group that would be great. I'd suggest asking on the Google group for advice from the present committee.

Sorry about the delay in replying - I've been having problems with Sky and e-mail notifications :-(

We meet on the first Wednesday of the Month, the time having recently changed to 7.15pm for a 7.30 start. The venue is mostly the Magdala pub on Lordship Lane, and the meeting normally finishes soon after 9pm. Details of what we do are posted on here as soon as I know them. If you look at the Previous Posts menu on the right hand side, you'll see what we have done so far.

I'm waiting for the committee to confirm an e-mail address for queries, and will post it here as soon as I have it
